Your Say: Which online backup/sync solutions do you use?
Backup has always been important. And now that most of us use multiple computers and devices on a daily basis, sync is just as essential. Which online backup or sync service(s) do you use?
Now that Google has finally released Google Drive (I’ve been waiting for it for years!), the Big Three (Apple, Microsoft and Google) have all entered this space. Are their solutions the best, or do you prefer to rely on the “little” guys who specialize in this area?
Do you use different services for different jobs, or just stick to your favorite? Do you have any hints about how we can get the most out of sync services? Do you have any horror stories where a service like this saved your life – or data? Let us know in the comments.

I use Dropbox for my Macs and iCloud for my iPhone which all work pretty well, so I’m not in a hurry to change service just yet!
Dropbox for syncing files between computers, and for web access.
SyncToy and an external hard drive for local backup.
Amazon S3 via JungleDisk for a remote backup of my primary computer.
I use dropbox for about 2 or three years now…don’t know when they started their business. Now I have about 10GB free because I invited a lot of friends to share folders with me on dropbox – that’s pretty cool.
Besite that I have my own little server I can access from outside my home.
I would never give anything more to google than I already did. Google is to mighty and I think they will mess around with my personal and business data if they need to. I simply don’t trust them.

I use iCloud to sync my contacts, calendars, etc. between my Mac, my iPhone and my iPad. I also use Dropbox. As soon as Google Drive releases an iOS app, I’ll use it to sync my documents.
Me too, I use dropbox on Mac and my iProducts,
Anyone knows recently dropbox had some security issues ?
I use OpenDrive !
dropbox all the way, i cant argue with a 18gb free account
I use DropBox for my Android phone and computer. It seems that we have a winner.
using Wuala to backup my projects and sync folders between home and work PCs. great solution for me
I use Dropbox, Box, Google for files, choosing one over the other depending on file size, usage plans, etc. I also use Evernote for notes, pictures, links, etc.
I use Sugarsync because it works like a dream, keeping all my computers (mac + pc) synced in real time, and it is cheaper than Dropbox. 100gb per month with Sugarsync is only $14.99, whereas with Dropbox the same exact service is $19.99. I’m personally on the 250gb per month plan, which is a measly $24.99 per month. Well worth it in my opinion!
Hi All
I’ve personally been using Dropbox for many years now just for non-business critical documents and personal files. For business critical data (files, Exchange SQL etc.) Dropbox really isn’t the right solution as it is just a replication/sharing service not a backup service.
We have come from a back ground of Managed Services and saw that backup solution that IT people have been deploying simply are not cutting it for business requirements in Australia. This inspired the creation of our own Australian based Cloud backup service called Zen 7. We now offer this service to SME’s and multi-site business all around Australia. With this technology we’re able to offer completely online, secure retention of backup data for 7 years and more. All the while reducing internal cost of for our client by removing the need for major upfront capital investments and increased on going IT support costs.
If you’re a business owner and haven’t reviewed your backup strategy in the past 3 years I would strongly encourage you to take action soon.

I currently use Acronis since I use their software to backup my computer and then I just store those backups online with them and on my external harddrive. 250 GB for $49 a year, not bad.
