We want to hear from you. Each week we give you a chance to share your thoughts, opinions and ideas. Have your say!
Have you ever thrown, smashed or destroyed a gadget – be it a phone, laptop, camera or even desktop – in anger or frustration? The “Hardware Abuse” section of Computer Stupidities says you’re not alone.
Tell us your story – including the consequences and how silly you felt afterwards – in the comments. I’m really looking forward to reading all about it!

May be this question should go to a different kind of community. Since most of the members here are related to web… we face such things daily if not hourly.
So if a device have to be broken for each erroneous situation, we will be out of business on day 1.
I destroyed my phone Samsung Galaxy Wonder because it was so slow and bad working, that it was giving me a nervous breakdown. If it was a 3310 I’d have destroyed the wall, but in this case that Samsung it just disappeared in pieces
The third time it changed the time with no reason, and I got late again to an appointment I screwed up. I jump down from the Taxi and fuuuumm…baaammm. Totally worth it
After the first two iPhones, I got tired of dropping them and having them shatter into pieces.
Picked me up a 3310 from eBay for £10 which has been indestructible for the past 3 years haha
I destroyed my laptop screen for wordpress custom post type permalink issue.
Been a while since I actually destroyed a piece of technology… but back in the CRT days, I used to get mad at my computer and take the monitor out back (was smart enough not to actually do it to the computer… too much $$$ there). A few well-placed rounds down range always made me feel better. Went through a lot of monitors though.
Never purposely smashed something, but breaking my first computer is how I (unfortunately) learned more about hardware!
Where to begin? I smashed a shorted out PlayStation 1 when I bought a replacement. Kept the power button in my backpack for a year or two after that as a souvenir. Smashed two piece of crap CD players once when I was a DJ. Had a cell phone that reset itself on me when I was trying to set up cable for my new apartment – that got thrown against the wall and eventually batted into a river. Oh, and one time my wife (then girlfriend) got me extremely angry and I threw a PS3 controller at my 32″ LCD TV. Various video game controllers have also been casualty to my occasional rage. I’m sure there’s probably more, but that’s what I can think of for now.
I have never smashed gadgets. Why don’t we find anything else to smash
