The world we live in moves quickly. Every day there seems to be new products and software, updates to our favorite apps, companies rising and falling, changes to standards, and new opportunities and threats. It’s hard to keep up with it all.
We’d love Envato Notes to be a place that helps you keep up, but we need your help. Whenever you come across some relevant or significant industry news, we’d love for you to put together a short post for us. As a small thank you, we’ll give you $10 of marketplace credit.
Posts don’t need to be long, but should contain:
- A clear but brief description of the news. We want you to get to the point.
- A link to the press release or other trusted source where the reader can find out more. We want real news, not rumors.
- A few comments about why you’re excited about the news, or how it affects the Envato community. How is your news item relevant?
Most of all, the news needs to be timely. No one wants to re-read what happened last week or last month.

Thanks Himanshu. Here’s a quick example:
1: Apple have announced a new iPad. Details such as the retina display and shipping dates.
2: More information can be found on the iPad page of Apple’s website, including a link.
3: Although this is an evolutionary upgrade, I’m really excited about the retina display. I have two retinas and they need the exercise. However, the retina display will raise some interesting challenges for web designers.
Some of those points should be expanded – possibly around the 300-600 word range, but that’s not set in stone. Hopefully that gives you a rough idea of what I’m expecting.
And I should mention that there are already a few posts in the industry news category. They may also give you some inspiration. And more will be added in the near future. You can find them at http://notes.envato.com/category/industry-news/.
