Iron sharpens iron. Metal requires heat and pounding to become malleable. And our own creative work needs the pressure of review, feedback and criticism if it is to improve. But where can you go for constructive feedback?

Tuts+ have recognized the need for peer review, and many of the sites offer a weekly workshop where readers can submit their own work for friendly, constructive criticism. Most of the feedback comes from the Tuts+ community, who really seem to appreciate the opportunity to help one another.

Vectortuts+ is all about helping people turbo charge their skills, and today we have another special community post that will help our readers take their images to the next level.

If you belong to one of the following three groups, then Tuts+ workshops are just for you. Jump in!

  1. You’ve created something that you feel is really good, but want feedback from others about how it can be improved, or techniques and approaches that may help you. You also need quite a bit of courage!
  2. You love learning from other people’s mistakes. By reading the feedback that others get on their submissions, you can learn to improve your own.
  3. You’ve been around and learned a few things, and you’d love to share your knowledge and experiences with others. And you want to do this with the intention of building others up, not tearing them down. You’re exactly the type of person who makes our workshops a success.

If you’d like to submit an item for peer review, you’ll instructions about how to do this on any workshop from your preferred site.

What workshops are available? Here’s the full menu, with a sample of the latest workshop…
