
We’re putting a $1000 bounty on the heads of Envato’s most wanted file type – Signage on GraphicRiver. The first 40 files uploaded (and subsequently approved) to the Signage category each get $25 (with a maximum of 10 files or $250 per author).
Details
In short, it’s a race to see who can quickly submit quality content based on the following criteria:
- Date Posted: May 10, 2012
- Prizes: 40 winning files will get a share of $1,000 of prizes! 40 x $25 “cash” prizes are payable ONLY via either PayPal or Moneybookers/Skrill). Not only that, all winners will receive the much-desired Most Wanted Bounty Winner Badge
- Maximum Prizes per Author: 10
- Closing Date: June 28, 2012 (12 p.m. Central US Time)
- Files We’re Looking For:
- Billboard poster/ad designs
- Real Estate Signage
- Food/Restaurant Signage
- Retail Store Signage
- As a general rule of thumb – “Signage” is any kind of sign or advertisement that’s larger than a flyer/poster.
File/Contest Requirements:
- Multiple submissions from the same author must all be different to one another.

As a Graphic Designer by trade, I think it would be difficult creating signage templates. There are so many size variables depending on the area the client has to work with, and vehicle livery… you would need to know what vehicle the customer had. Billboards, there are so many options just here in the UK alone depending on location and the company you’re using.
Covering all these eventualities seems like a lot of work…
Surely that’s the point of a template, it doesn’t have to exactly meet all the criteria for every possible van or billboard, but it has to give you a good start that gets you 50-90% of the way there and can be adapted, extracted or expanded to meet many other possibilities.
