Here’s a desktop that’s both classy and different. It belongs to Grant Mitchell, the managing director of InsomniaGaming.co.uk. You can find a high-res version on DeviantArt.

The desktop is highly customized. In fact, I can’t tell which operating system it is on, though since Grant’s such a big gamer I’m pretty sure it’s Windows.

It includes a gorgeous wallpaper – somewhere I’d like to spend my next holiday – a prominently displayed day and date, and a semi-transparent dashboard of useful gadgets or widgets showing system stats, the weather, feeds from RSS and Facebook, and more. Nice!
