Melanie Brooks: Maine

I enjoy drooling over some of the elaborate designer workspaces we feature here on Envato Notes. A lot of thought and effort has gone into creating them, and they must be a joy to work in.

But not everyone has – or needs – a workspace like that. For example, the needs of writers and developers can be quite basic. Give us a basic computer and a comfy chair and we’re ready to go.

As promised last week, FreelanceSwitch have posted an amazing roundup of freelance workspace photos. It’s worth checking out the entire post.

Here I’ll feature some of the workspaces that are nice, comfortable, and above all, simple! They show us that you don’t have to be state-of-the-art to have an attractive, productive workspace.

Kat Tate (copywriter), Australia

Will Regal, West Virginia

Henrik Eklund (web designer), Sweden

What do you think of these simple freelance workspaces? Which is your favorite? Let us know in the comments.

Would you like your workspace featured on Envato Notes? Upload your photo to somewhere on the Web and let us know about it on our Write a Post page. Or upload it to Flickr and tag it with #envatonotesworkspaces. Either way, add an interesting description. Each week we’ll choose and publish a new photo.

  1. Misel D. on the 19th June

I like Henrik Eklund’s office. I guess That window brings you a lot of inspiration

  2. Majestro10 on the 19th June

Henrik Eklund’s workspace the best so far. Small room, big window that brings a lot of natural light and nice view to that beautiful garden that brings a lot of inspiration.
I’d love to have that workspace …
