Welcome to our new weekly feature. I’m curious about how people set up their workspaces, and have been really inspired by the workspace photos submitted for our author interviews. I want more! So each week we’re going to feature a workspace from the Envato universe – including staff, authors, reviewers, Marketplace members, fans and readers. We start with our Support & Community Manager, Jordan McNamara.

Here are some photos of my desk which is just in my room (I live in a share house).

Some interesting things in my room are the trashy fairy lights, I got them on the weekend because I think they’re cool. Below the fairy lights is a drawing of Sailor Moon which the little girl who lived in this room before me drew on the wall. It’s pretty funny!

I’ve got some photos on the wall of my friends and I. My laptop is a MacBook Pro 15″ i5 mid 2010 model hooked up to an external monitor. A plant, and some nerdy glasses :P

Below is my barren work desk, featuring a little pink mushroom from Super Mario (which is kind of hidden in the photo) and a zebra stuffed toy called Randall that my friend made for me for my 21st birthday last year.

Would you like your workspace featured on Envato Notes? Just upload it to Flickr, add an interesting description, and tag it with #envatonotesworkspaces. Each week we’ll choose and publish a new photo. Check out the other entries here.

I love how you laid out your photos on the wall in the top photos, I’m totally borrowing your idea. :)

Go for it! It’s pretty sweet! Gives it a nice, friendly touch when I want to relax.

I love these kinds of posts. Usethis.com and now you all? I am excited to see what you all do with the medium. Seeing how other folks work and generate kick ass content is a wonderful and relaxing past time. Keep it up.

I’m looking forward to more workspaces photos, always looking for some inspiration. Would be great if they could include what type/brand chair their using ;)

I actually have no idea what kind I’m using! I got it off a friend a few years ago and it is very annoying. I’m in the market for a new one. Any suggestions? :P

Hehe same here. I got back-pain so I think its time for a new one. Looking into a Herman Miller ergonomic chair but its $899, a little too much for a student :P

    Nice!

  6. Drew on the 27th October

Little does everyone know those pictures are actually a shrine in my honor, whenever Jords feels down he just checks out the Drew Shrine.

Love it. I’ll grab a picture of my workspace on Christmas. I’ll hopefully be getting a 27″ iMac… I have a glass desk now, my AluPad came today and I have a Just-Mobile cooling bar with my Macbook on it. Need to find a way to re-arrange my desk. I also have one of those desk paper drawer thingies, they’re quite helpful for organising homework and things like that.
