Today is a big day! It is exactly one year since we launched Microlancer. However, in addition to celebrating our birthday, we are also excited to launch our new brand name: Envato Studio.
At Envato our mission is to help people to earn and to learn, online. We’re a young online company, internationally known in our market. Our marketplaces have millions of members who buy and sell digital goods and a network of educational blogs where millions learn creative skills.
The Envato Marketplaces are growing at an incredible rate! Not only has there been explosive growth among authors, but buyers are also signing up in droves. To stay ahead of that growth, we need ambitious, bright, knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff. I’m proud to say that our current staff meets that criteria, but we need more! Specifically, we’re looking for someone to come join the team as a Growth Officer. The growth team does exactly what it sounds like it does – we grow the marketplaces. In short, we do that by discovering new item types, creating categories, filling those categories with quality content, and promoting them. This is a great opportunity and is no ordinary job. As many of you might already know, the Review Team is growing quickly! I wanted to take a moment to introduce two fairly recent additions to the team — Kate and Sergey.
As we’ve been intensely growing the team I’ve fallen behind on team introductions so both Kate and Sergey have already been with us for several months and have also already cranked out stellar work on many big projects. So it’s with great pleasure I introduce to you Kate and Sergey and tell you a bit about them and some of what they’ve been working on.
One of the toughest things about running Envato is that there simply aren’t enough hours in the day. It’s just one of the many reasons I’m excited about the possibility of a colony on Mars – days there are a whole 37 minutes longer than here on earth!
Back here in the real world, we’ve been growing and growing at Envato. Our Envato Marketplace team has swelled to more than 70 people, and today I wanted to introduce you to a fantastic new team member: Helen Souness, who has joined us as the new Marketplace General Manager. She’s taking over from Vahid who has done a valiant job this last year and spearheaded some very important infrastructure, team and growth projects. While Vahid is moving on to work on Envato operations, Helen will now be heading up the Marketplaces.
For most of us the holidays are over. An exciting new year has started, and we have our eyes fixed on the amazing possibilities of 2013.
But it wasn’t long ago that we were in celebration mode. To help our fading memories, we’ve just added 57 Envato Christmas Party 2012 photos to Flickr. Check them out!
More courses, more topics, more learning, more fun! Tuts+ Premium has big, big plans for the new year, but to pull it all off, we need to grow our team!
We’re looking for a talented individual to join our team as a part-time Production Assistant. Production Assistants are an integral part of the team that work closely with Producers to get courses made.
Your superpowers must include familiarity with WordPress and other site management tools, excellent copywriting and editing skills, and a sharp attention to detail and results.

Howdy everyone! Drew here from the Envato Podcast, Support, & Community team. I’d like to take a second today to make an important personal and public announcement to both you, the Envato community, and to the staff at Envato.
It looks like our Melbourne office had a fun and scary day yesterday. They dressed up for halloween. Which costume is your favorite?
Let’s put some names to the, er, faces. From left to right: Jess, Alex, Kelly, Lise, Carmen, Chendo, Ben and Amber.

Hey everyone! Jordan, Envato’s Community Manager here! I hope you’ll all be so kind as to indulge me for a moment as I have a personal announcement I’d like to make, which is important to me as I’d like to let the entire Envato family know (community and staff) just how much you all have come to mean to me over the past three and a half years.
