The ThemeForest Top Authors page is an interesting place to visit. You get to watch ThemeForest’s Elite and Power Elite authors battle it out for the top spot on the ladder. That spot has been occupied by Kriesi almost forever. But no longer—he’s just been overtaken.
Update 17th June: Kriesi is back on top. This is a race worth watching!

Each year here at Envato brings with it new records, but this one is particularly amazing. I was very excited to discover recently, that the author ThemeFusion, a partnership between Luke Beck and Muhammad Haris, has completely smashed our monthly author earnings records. For not one, but two months now, they’ve hit over $100,000 in earnings. But what is most amazing, they’ve done it with just one WordPress Theme: Avada.
The theme is, of course, something special. As one customer puts it: “This is the Best Theme I have ever seen. I am a full time web dev, and this theme blows me away.” The sales have followed, with Avada sitting atop the ThemeForest’s Popular Files pages week after week, often selling almost double as many copies as the nearest competitor.

A couple of years ago we tried an interesting experiment on AudioJungle – the TRAX category. This category was different from the rest of AudioJungle, and the rest of Envato for that matter, in that we weren’t selling stock. Rather, the items were for the buyers’ personal use. Even though it wasn’t in line with our existing stock model, we wanted to have a place where AudioJungle authors could earn money from their music in a different way.
Definition of “pastiche”: “an artistic work in a style that imitates that of another work, artist…”
To further assist our AudioJungle authors and to help clarify what is permissible and what is not permissible in relation to creating and selling pastiche recordings, we have improved our help documentation and have created a more comprehensive article:
Starting a new song idea with an interesting chord, getting hooked on FL Studio, having high goals in the electronic dance music industry, and not being able to go outside much during Sweden’s winter. This week we meet Emil Hovmark (E-Flex), a sixteen-year-old AudioJungle author.
