If you enjoyed Patrik Larsson’s ebook “Marketplace Tips & Tricks“, we have some great news for you. He’s been working hard on a significantly expanded second edition. He’ll be finished in a month or two.

Patrik was kind enough to give us an in-depth interview about the update. His enthusiasm is infectious. Not only has he got me excited about the book, but it seems he’s got half the marketplace authors involved in the project!

Feel free to ask Patrik questions below in the comments. Once the new edition has been launched, we’ll let you know about it. And you can keep up to date with the book’s progress on Patrik’s Facebook page.

In the meantime, read Patrik’s interview below, and see how excited he can make you.

Author Interview: Pedrodonkey

Zimbabwe, Cyprus, a rabbit called Prince, and web design. Today we meet Peter Vraches (pedrodonkey) from ActiveDen and ThemeForest.

If you’re an Envato author and would like to be interviewed for the blog, head over to this form. We’d love to hear from you.

Tell us a bit about yourself. Where are you from, what do you do for a living?

I was born and raised in lovely sunny Zimbabwe, Africa. However due to political unrest in the country almost 10 years ago my family decided it was for the best that we emigrate to Cyprus where my family has roots going way back.

Shortly after our move to the island I enrolled at the International University of Nicosia and graduated with a degree in Multimedia Web Design and Development. Since then I have worked in numerous advertising agencies up until two years ago when I decided to quit my job and open up my own Multimedia Agency – Pixeloop Media.

The help of the Envato Marketplace made this possible, as cash flow was a bit tight in the beginning. My sales and experience on ThemeForest and ActiveDen allowed me to pursue this dream.

Drop in Sponsored Search Results on Your Site to Earn Referral Cash!

The greatest turning point for Google is arguably when they discovered that laying ads next to search results led to high clickthroughs, and thereby lots of money. This works because a person who is searching is ready and primed for clicking through to something so long as it’s relevant to what they are looking for. Well, what works for Google, can work for you too!

Today I’d like to introduce you to a nifty little way to generate referral income from sites that show content similar in nature to the marketplaces. It’s on the same principle as showing ads next to Google Search results. Except instead you show Envato Marketplace search results next to your content. Continue Reading

This week we have more whiteboards, an iMac, a wooden desk and ergonomic chair, wooden floorboards, and a well-used wastepaper basket. Very nice! I love the light that streams in through the window.

My name is Tobias, also known as Wickedshot, a Tweeting and Forrst’ing web designer with a passion for creating beautiful and clean WordPress themes. God only knows how much time I’ve spent sitting at this spot.

Here is an overview of my complete workspace. In the other room is the windows testing PC and some stuff like printer and scanner, etc.
